What to do if they want to give up
Those tough days? They’re part of the process.
Every now and then, a child walks out of karate class feeling frustrated. Maybe they missed a move, got corrected one too many times, or just had an off day. Suddenly, they’re saying, “I don’t want to do this anymore.” It can be tough to hear - especially when you’ve seen how much they usually enjoy it. But moments like this are normal. In fact, they’re necessary.
Karate isn’t always easy, and that’s the point. The hard days teach kids how to work through challenges, bounce back from setbacks, and keep going even when it’s uncomfortable. That’s where real growth happens. When they push through, they don’t just get better at karate - they build grit, patience, and confidence that shows up in everything they do.
If your child has hit a rough patch, let us know. Every student goes through this at some point in their training and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
